  28. I've had the same problem. And I don't think it's a memory problem, I've got 
  29. 64 megs under 95 w/ nothing but eudora running while online.

  31. In any case, if the USR 33.6k Sportster loses the PPP connection
  32. (for any reason) it'll refuse to dial-out.

  34. Sometimes the CTS light goes nuts thinking it's getting a signal.
  35. Other times, on attempting to dial-out, the modem gets the dialtone,
  36. then *stops* and re-dials. The excuse - "No dialtone".

  38. A win95 shutdown-all-programs-and-logout doesn't work. Neither does
  39. a reset. The only sure method is to powerdown. Sometimes if I
  40. go into Procomm Plus and continuously keep doing atz's (through which
  41. the CTS light's going nuts) I'll finally obtain control of the modem.

  43. And this is with the .INF file supplied by USR via their ftp site, win95
  44. on a fairly quick P75 system.  My personal PPP connection is to my
  45. USR 33.6k DS on a NeXTStep PPP server. The other PPP dialins
  46. are to the university, so brandname is unknown.
